Creating the Extraordinary Student Experience

Delegation of Authority

In keeping with the university's internal controls policy, each area is required to develop and maintain a delegation of authority listing approved by the dean or vice president. The delegation of authorities listings specify for each area and each transaction type the individual or individuals who are authorized to approve transactions for business purpose and for compliance. Individuals should only be authorized to approve business purpose on transactions initiated by individuals for whom they have sufficient authority. (See Internal Controls Policy #1.11)

Student Life's delegation of authority listings not only support effective internal controls by ensuring appropriate segregation of duties, but the it also helps define our responsibilities within Student Life and promote orderly and efficient organizational structure.
